CDSF facilitates RBM training for ARARI

The Capacity Development Support Facility (CDSF) provided technical support at a Results-Based Management (RBM) training conducted for AGP focal persons in Amhara Agricultural Research Institute (ARARI) in Bahir Dar City from March 7-9, 2018.

Thirty-two AGP focal persons (two women) comprising junior and senior researchers participated in the training.

The Amhara Region Agricultural Research Institute requested the training and CDSF provided a resource person as a facilitator.

Topics of the training included: the concept of RBM, theory of change, the logic model, M&E system development, data quality management and reporting. Participants were also given a brief orientation and standard definitions of gender-sensitive, nutrition-sensitive and climate-smart agricultural technologies developed by CDSF and partners.

Speaking at the close of the training, Dr. Tadele   Amare, a Senior Researcher from Adet Research Center said:

“I found this training to be very interactive and participatory. The training has kept us active throughout the three days. We all enjoyed the training methods such as group exercises, presentations and discussions. The content, too, was very helpful and applicable to in our day to day job. I’m sure we can also use the lessons and experience that we got from the training in our private lives.”

In his closing remark, Ato Landuber Wondale, regional AGP coordinator at the Amhara Agricultural Research Institute thanked CDSF  for all its exemplary partnership.
